Gunmen Drag, Shot Dead Magistrate in Imo Court room

A Judge had been shot dead in a Courtroom in Imo State worsening the security situation in the South Eastern State.

The motive of the gun men was unknown. There was no response from any security official during the incidence.

The gory event took place on Thursday, February 2

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Family sources said there was no threat before the incidence.

The Judge Magistrate Nnaemeka Ugboma was in the Courtroom at Ejemekwuru Customary Court, in the Oguta Local Government Area.

The armed men numbering about five stormed the court after which they rained bullets on the Judge.

Eye witnesses said gunmen came in motorcycles.

“They dragged him away in the Court and shot him. People watched helplessly” the witness who does not wish to be named said.

He said the invaders did not speak to anyone adding that all of them were masked

The incidence raised dust in the community as locals ran for safety.

The shot Magistrate Ugboma read law and graduate of 1991

A native of Nnebukwu Community in the Oguta LGA, he is well known as a diligent and humble Judge.
