DSS detains foremost Nigerian journalist, Lanre Arogundade

The Directorate of State Services, DSS have detained former President National Association of Nigerian Students, (NANs), Mr Lanre Arogundade.
The foremost journalist and Executive Director, International Press Centre, IPC was accosted on his way from Banjul where he had led a training for media practitioners on conflict sensitivity.
Arogundade who was former Chairman, Nigerian Union of Journalist, Lagos Chapter is being detained at the DSS Murtala Mohammed Airport office as at the time of filing this report, Irohinoodua learnt. He said since the days of military rule he has been constantly harassed by the secret service wondering why this should continue under military rule. Sources said he may be released before sundown today. No explanation has been given for his arrest
