Activists clamouring for Oodua Republic have launched a string of rallies across Western Europe calling for Yoruba self determination.
Hundreds of such activists gathered on the streets of London, Paris and Berlin on Sunday calling for Oodua Republic.
The organisers also submitted a petition to the United Kingdom calling for its support for Oodua Nation.
A member of the organisers, Dr Bayo Ogunlade told Irohinoodua that the rallies would he held across major cities in Europe and America.
“We have started a second phase of global campaign for Oodua Nation. Nothing will stop us. Nigeria has no future for Yoruba and Itsekiri people. It is time to go,” he said.
A Yoruba activist, Mr Sunday Adeyemi [Igboho] who attended the rally said Nigeria was created by foreign powers. He said before 1914, Nigeria had autonomous ethnic nations addi that it was time the country was disbanded to guarantee self determination. He said the Yoruba and Itsekiri would work with other ethnic groups that believe in self determination in Nigeria.
