Yoruba Nation loses Yinka Odumakin at 57

Spokesperson of Afenifere, the Pan Yoruba socio-cultural group is dead
Odumakin sources told Irohinoodua passed on in the early hours of today
Odumakin was the fiery spokesperson of Afenifere. For the past years, he pushed for the Afenifere main agenda which is the restructuring of Nigeria
He began his activism career at the University of Ife (Now Obafemi Awolowo University) where he was the Public Relations Officer of the Students Union. He was a member of the radical left, the Labour Militant. During the June 12 campaign, Odumakin veered off into ethnic politics where he has been defending the interests of his people. He is married to radical rights activist, Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin
The family and friends are expected to announce burial arrangement soon
