Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka this morning has attended the Abuja High Court where the trial of notable publisher, Mr Omoyele Sowore continues on Wednesday. Soyinka was accompanied to the court room by a retinue to mainly young activists all of who came to show support to the publisher of Sahara Reporters, Africa’s most popular online medium, Mr Sowore.

Soyinka was in the court to offer solidarity to Sowore who has been standing trial for alleged treason. Sowore and another activist, Olawale Bakare are facing trial for organizing RevolutionNow August last year.

Soyinka drew the eyes of people in the court room as he took his sit to listen to the court proceedings. At the court also was Senator Shehu Sani who in recent times has been the subject of attack by the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC) a party he once used to contest for the post of a Senator in 2015.
