We’ll treat IPOB in Rivers as terrorists, says Rivers Police

Members of Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, (IPOB) have been asked to leave Rivers State or be treated as terrorists.
In a statement the police image maker, Nnamdi Omoni after a meeting of Divisional Police Officers, (DPOs) in the state said IPOB has been declared a terrorist group by the Federal Government warning that its members caught would be treated as terrorists. The meeting was attended by Heads of the police tactical units.
Nnamdi said “The CP warns members of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, (IPOB) to relocate from the State as machineris have been pt in place to fish them out and deal with them as a terrorist group.”
He blamed the group for some of the destructions that took place in the state following the #ENDSARs protest.
“Again, the CP, for the umpteenth time, wishes to reiterate emphatically that Rivers State is not an IPOB state and will deal with any group that carries out activities under that guise or any guise whatsoever.”
He said further “IPOB has been outlawed by both the Federal and state governments and to that extent it is non-existent anywhere else, including Rivers State.”
