The Vice-President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, was thrown into mourning earlier this morning, Friday 12th, 2016, over the death of his aide, Mr. Ayoleke Asia.
Sources revealed to Irohin Oodua that the deceased battled with the sickness that later took his life for over six months, before succumbing to the cold hands of death. Until his death, the deceased was the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Economic Affairs.
The late Asia is a native of Ikerre-Ekiti in Ekiti State, and was said to be a honest and dedicated staff. Sources informed Irohin Oodua that the deceased fought gallantly in the last election to ensure that the All Progressives Congress, APC, came out victor in the 2015 polls.
In death, eulogies are being poured on the late Asia. A source informed Irohin Oodua that Asia was dedicated and dogged in his discharge of duties. “It’s so sad that Asia has gone. Though, he has been ill for sometime, but his health deteriorated about six months ago when he began to loose weight. He became lean and emaciated”, the source said.
