Tinubu appoints MD, Chair for Nigerian Port Authority

President Bola Tinubu has appointed new Chairman and Managing Director for Nigerian Ports Authority, (NPA).
The newly appointed Chairman is former Senator from Ise Ekiti, Dayo Adeyeye while the new Managing Director is Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho.
The strategic appointments takes immediate effect.
Senator Adedayo Adeyeye will now take over as the Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
Irohinoodua was informed that Dr. Dantsoho holds a Doctorate degree in Maritime Technology from Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom, and a Master’s degree in International Transport from Cardiff University of Wales, United Kingdom.
Before his appointment, he had served in various roles in the Nigerian Ports Authority as Assistant General Manager; Technical Assistant to the Managing Director; Port Manager, Onne Port; and Principal Manager, Tariff & Billing.
On the other hand, Senator Adeyeye, the Board Chairman, is a seasoned lawyer, journalist, and politician. He was former Publicity Secretary, Afenifere in the most difficult moment under the Military government of late Gen. Sanni Abacha.
He was a former Minister of State for Works and former Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP). He later defected to the All Progressives Congress, (APC)
The President said he expects the new leadership of the NPA to reflect excellence in the discharge of their duties.
He has charged the new appointees to ensure an efficient port services and improved industry outcomes.
