
Thousands storm Osogbo for Oodua Nation rally

Thousands of people stormed Osogbo, the Osun State capital today in continuation of the clamour for Oduduwa Republic
The rally was held at the Mandela Freedom pack. “We are here to register our displeasure against a stifling country that has no respect for the dignity of man. We are pushing for Oduduwa Republic in a non violent way. We are certain that victory is ours”.Alhaja Sidi Olowonle a member of Oodua Peoples Congress, (OPC) at the rally told Irohinoodua. The crowd was addressed by various leaders of Pan Yoruba self determination groups
The rally had earlier began in the morning amidst speculations that the police would disrupt the procession.
As the crowd surged, the police withdrew leaving the huge population to have a field day at the historic event.
Addressing the rally, Chief Sunday Adeyemo said the campaign for Oodua Republic will continue until Yoruba people gained full independence as a sovereign nation
“We are talking to farmers, peasants, students and workers. The day of victory is near. We are going to have Oduduwa Republic” he told an excited crowd.
Leaders of Ilana Oodua who attended the rally said they would continue until victory is ascertained.
Various pamphlets were distributed at the rally by various groups including Oodua Liberation Movement, (OLM), Oodua Republic Front, (ORF) and Apapo Oodua Koya, (AOKOYA) All urged Yoruba people to support the campaign for Oodua Nation
