Tears In Aso Rock as Army bury six Buhari’s Brigade of Guard Soldiers killed by terrorists

Aso Rock, the seat of power wore a sad look this weekend
Six soldiers attached to the Presidential guard killed by suspected gunmen in the Federal Capital Territory were laid to rest on Thursday.
Irohinoodua reports that Captain Attah Samuel and four other soldiers were attacked and killed on July 24 at the Bwari Area Council of te Federal Capital Territory.
The victims were among the presidential guards.
According to the statement released by the Assistant Director of Army Public Relation Guards Brigade, Captain Godfrey Abakpa, said the burial of the late soldiers took place on Thursday at the Guards Brigade Cemetery.
According to his statement,
‘’The Guards Brigade of the Nigerian Army and the entire Barracks community were today August 10, 2022 thrown into state of mourning as the remains of Samuel and four other soldiers who recently paid the supreme price during a clearance operation in Bwari Area were laid to rest at the Guards Brigade Cemetery, Maitama, Abuja.
“Until their demise, the gallant soldiers were serving with 7 Guards Battalion, Lungi Barracks Maitama and 176 Guards Battalion Gwagwalada in the FCT.
“While reading the funeral oration of the deceased officer and soldiers, the Commanding Officers of 7 Guards Battalion, Lt Col Salim Hassan, and Commanding Officer 176 Guards Battalion, Lt Col Joshuah Adisa, described the late captain and soldiers as thoroughly bred infantrymen who were genuinely committed to their duties in defence of Nigeria and whose contribution and services would be greatly missed.”
