Suspected Fulani armed men kill two young boys in Ogbe

Two men were slain on Friday evening on their way from Ekiti State to Ogbe in Kogi State. They were riding on motorcycles when armed men attacked on killed them.
Eyewitness told Irohinoodua that the two men were riding Okada from Ekiti State when five armed people suspected to be Fulani ambushed them. Sources said they had were attacked exactly between Oyi and Ogbe, some three Kilometers before Ogbe. The
“They were attacked between Irele and Ogbe. Few kilometers befor Ogbe, near ,Oyi, they shot the two of them and later butchered them” Mr Doyin Olorunfemi, an indigene of Ogbe who is familiar with the incidence told our correspondent.
He said the men did not in anyway provoke the armed men.
“They stopped them and asked them to come down from their motorcycles. They were three of them on motorcycles. After collecting their phones and the little money on them, the armed men shot them. One of the three boys escaped into the bush,” Olorunfemi said.
According to him, the hunters in Ogbe mobilised to the scene but could not locate the armed men.
“There is no doubt these are remnants of armed Fulani men who are operating in this area. It shows clearly that the menace of Fulani attacks on our people is far from being over,” a Chief in the community who does not wish to be named told Irohinoodua.
Ogbe is few kilometers away from the community where two Ekiti traditional rulers were killed not too long ago and some three Kilometers to Koro where the traditional ruler was also killed by armed men
