Newsbreak:Chief of Army Staff orders arrest of soldier insulting Lagos Governor, condemns indiscipline

The Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja has ordered the arrest of a soldier who insulted the Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for arresting a soldier who acted against traffick laws.
Gen Lagbaja also condemned the statement made by a certain man calling himself a soldier in a viral video.
He said he was not a soldier but an impostor.
The man tried to justify the behavior of the unruly soldier.
Sanwo-Olu had ordered the arrest of a military personnel for going against traffick law in Lagos.
I want to say that the soldier that was apprehended by the Governor of Lagos State why plying one way does not represent the Army. He contravenes what we stand for, he contravenes the law of Lagos State and constitution.We frown at that as the Army,” Lagbaja said.
Lagbaja said the Army is committed to discipline and respect for democratic norms. In his speech made available to Irohinoodua, Lagbaja said the Army was investigating the reports that some soldiers were using the social media to promote negative narratives following the arrest of the soldier.
He said the fellow who sent a viral clip attacking Sanwo Olu is not a soldier but an impostor. He said only one soldier has been found to have commented negatively on the issue in the social media.
“As I arrived Enugu today, I just received report from the Army Chief of Administration on how we have to continue to educate soldiers” on discipline and respect for the rule of law,nhe said
He said on reports that some soldiers have gone to the social media casting aspersions on the Governor of Lagos State, only one soldier has done that.
He said the Army has investigated and that the soldier has been arrested.
He said from the mode of dressing of some of the critics on the social media, it was certain they were not soldiers of the Nigerian Army.
He said one of them was wearing the badge upside down adding that an officer can never do that.
