Smart woman’s linked CCTV to her phone led to Baba Ijesa’s arrest

The timely decision of a smart woman,Princess Adekola Adekanya to install a closed-circuit television,( CCTV) camera in her house linked to her private mobile phone led to the arrest of Nollywood Star, Mr Olanrewaju Omidiran alias Baba Ijesa.

The actor sexually molested a 14 year old child as revealed in the woman’s phone while she monitored her home from her distant workplace.

She had suspicion that her daughter was being sexually abused

Available evidence revealed Olanrewaju has been molesting the child since she was 7.

The criminal has been arrested by the Lagos State Police command for allegedly defilling a minor

Irohinoodua gathered that a CCTV installed in the victim’s home captured Omiyinka allegedly molesting the victim while her mother was not at home.

It was gathered that the victim’s mother monitored the situation in her home on her phone and to her dismay, she saw Omiyinka conducting himself

He took the victim away from the sitting room into the kitchen, where there was no CCTV camera installed. This prompted her mother to rush back home.

She caught him pants down.

The victim’s mother was said to have been inconsolable after her discovery

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said in a statement on Thursday that Omiyinka was arrested after a case of defilement was reported against him, adding that preliminary investigation revealed that he had been sexually assaulting the 14-year-old victim since she was seven.

He stated that Omiyinka confessed to the crime, adding that the case had been transferred to the Gender Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, Yaba, for proper investigation
