Ekiti begins Ifelodun road construction, to boost state economy

Ekiti state Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has commenced the rehabilitation of the Igede-Ilawe road construction project.

Investment on the road project infrastructure aims to ease traffic congestion of daily travellers and also be of positive benefit to the state economy.

Irohinoodua was informed that the State Commissioner for Information, Taiwo Olatunbosun, inspected the ongoing road project on Sunday evening as travelers and indigenous people in the community expressed their joy through street jubilation.

Rt. Hon. Olatunbosun who outlined that the road rehabilitation project is attract private investors to strengthen the state economy also said it will make life easier for commuters.

According to him “Work is also ongoing on the Ilawe-Ado with construction of functional drainage system among others while the construction of a new culvert has been completed to replace the failed one at Ilawe”

Olatunbosun stressed that the part of the focus on the road project is to link the entire communities in Ekiti together to allow free flow of traffic in the state.

He said aside the Ilawe-Ado and Ilawe Igede road, the administration has embarked on several projects including new construction and rehabilitation.

“Others are rehabilitation of Ilawe-Erijiyan road; reconstruction of ikere-Ilawe road; construction of Atlas (Ajebamidele)-Deeper Life- Alasia-Shepard-Omisanjana road in Ado Ekiti and the general rehabilitation of Ado township roads” he said.

Hon. Olatunbosun who describe the performance of Ekiti state governor as “silent achievement” promised the local to allows support any government policies that brings inclusiveness and favour the people.
