Revealed: Shekau left 89 children, several wives
Says terrorists have about 7000 members

The late leader of the terrorist group, Boko Haram Abubakar Shekau has 89 children from different women, a member of the House of Representative from Bornu State, Hon Ahmed Satomi said on Sunday.
Unknown to many people, Shekau was also building a biological chain of fighters from his own blood.
Matami said Shekau had four legitimate wives and several women who had children for him while he was alive. He put the number of his known children at 89.
Shekau who was killed in May this year, was believed to have lost his life amidst a bitter internal crisis within the terrorist group which he commanded.
Satomi said the merger between Islamic State of West Africa, (ISWAP) and Boko Haram was a threat but that the merger would not last for a long time.
He said ‘there have been mergers in the past which did not last long.”
On the integration of Boko Haram fighters by the Federal Government, the lawmaker urged caution.
He said “Some of us are sceptical. They may disguise, get intelligence and use it to execute their own programe.”
Satomi spoke on Sunday during the edition of Journalists Hangout on TVC monitored by Irohinoodua.

He said Shekarau once had agents planted within the government security circle.
He urged the government to integrate the communities and traditional institutions to build greater public thrust in the fight against terrorism.
