President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has summoned the Minister of Interior, Mr Bunmi Tunji Ojo.
The Minister was summoned on Tuesday afternoon in connection with over N400m alleged to have been transferred into the account of a company linked to him.
A source said the crisis involving the Ministers is a fall out of the commercialisation of political appointments by certain officials in the Presidency
Some Ministers were said to have been picked after paying huge sums as bribe to a rogue clique unknown to President Tinubu who has insisted on transparency in the affairs of government
He was said to be one of the directors if the company.
Irohinoodua was informed that the Presidency has asked him to explain his role in the scam.
A company in which he was alleged to have served as a Board member or he is still serving was said to have received the contract to verify beneficiaries of the cash transfer.
Mr Ojo on Channels TV Monday night explained that he had long disassociated himself with the said company and that he had nothing to do with the company.
The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs led by Mrs Betty Edu, a medical doctor is currency being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC).
The Minister was suspended on Monday.
