Oyo State Police Command has invited a popular online prank/skit maker, Abdullahi Maruf Adisa, popular know as “Trinity Guy”
The Police suspect him of violating the regulations on minors.
His arrest is linked to a prank video involving a minor.
This was made available through the Twitter page of the Oyo State Police Command.
Earlier last week, the police force had extended their warning to online prank makers over their dangerous content which can threaten the life of people in the society.
The Police through their Public Relations Officer (PRO) urged the online creators actors to regulate their contents.
According to their official Twitter page, “ Popular content creator, Abdullahi Maruf Adisa, AKA Trinity, has been contacted and invited to the Oyo State Police Command in connection with the disturbing viral skit content making the rounds across the Social Media space concerning a female minor. Updates would be provided soon,”
“Trinity Guy” posted a prank video which involved a “Gunshot” that scared pedestrians on the road. The video caught the attention of the Police who requested for his arrest.
However, the police have urged everyone who has been affected by some type of prank to report immediately to police authority.
The police image maker wrote “This doesn’t make any sense, and I think the guy should have been arrested. Those individuals who feel the heat and fear of the pranks should report the pranksters, as many of their pranks are criminal, immoral, and evil. These women have a good case against him,” he wrote.
On Twitter, he added, “We have warned them severally. When nothing happens, nothing happens, but when something happens, consequences will surely follow. They will soon realise the dangers attributed to the excessiveness of doing unguided pranks.”
