Pastor Folu Adeboye brings hope to thousands of elderly South Africans

Pastor Folu Adeboye, wife of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has brought hope to over 5,000 !South African elderly

She has made remarkable contributions to improving the lives of the elderly in South Africa through her Heart of Love Foundation.

Since its inception, the foundation has empowered over 5,000 elderly individuals by providing both spiritual and material support.

Marking its 12th anniversary on November 21, 2024, the foundation continues to be a source of hope and transformation for the Alexandra community. A statement issued by the foundation highlighted its commitment to uplifting vulnerable seniors through consistent efforts such as monthly prayer meetings and grocery distributions, ensuring they feel loved and valued.

During the anniversary celebration, Pastor (Mrs) Adeboye shared the inspiration behind the initiative:
“The idea came to me when I visited the Nigerian Consulate General in South Africa. I was deeply saddened by the plight of the elderly, many of whom were dying due to neglect and poverty. I felt a divine call to help them.”

Pastor Tunde Obokhai, Coordinator of the Heart of Love Foundation, outlined the foundation’s achievements:
“We have empowered over 5,000 individuals through various initiatives, including skill acquisition programmes and material aid. The foundation has also played a crucial role in building a sense of community among the elderly by organising regular gatherings and activities, which provide opportunities for social interaction and emotional support.”

He added that many beneficiaries have shared testimonies of improved health, dignity, and gratitude for the foundation’s life-changing support.

As Heart of Love Foundation continues its mission, it remains steadfast in its goal to empower the elderly, ensuring they lead lives filled with purpose and hope.
