Oyebanji In Threshold Of History

By Wole Olujobi

Buffeted by the pains of back to back succession failures since the creation of Ekiti State in 1996 that distorted real growth in the state’s development initiatives,  Ekiti people broke succession jinx on the June 18, 2022 crunch governorship election to elect Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as Governor of Ekiti State to key into his party’s (All Progressives Congress) development scheme anchored on continuity agenda initiated by the immediate past Governor Kayode Fayemi.

It was indeed a deft and masterful political choreography by a determined people in their quest for a development model that will put Ekiti State on the path of sustainable growth as Oyebanji mounts the saddle after taking the oath of office yesterday October 16, 2022.
