
Osun Oba Council suspends Oluwo

The Osun State Council of Traditional Rulers has today suspended tha Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi.
Oba Akanbe has been suspended for a period of six months following his fisticuffs with another local traditional ruler in the presence of top police officials during a peace meeting in Osogbo a fortnight ago
The Committee of Osun State Council of Traditional Rulers gave the order for suspention today in a statement sighted by Irohinodua
The council earlier set up a Committee led by the Orangun of Ila, Oba Wahab Adedotun.
At the Osogbo meeting presided over by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, (Ojaja 1) announced the suspention after an exhaustive meeting.
“He has been suspended for six months. The Osun Obas took the unanimous decision to suspend him. What he did was an insult to Yoruba sacred values. We hope this will serve as a deterrent” a source told Irohinodua in Osogbo today.
