Osun: Looters return stolen items, foodstuffs

The 72 hours ultimatum given by the Governor of State of Osun Gboyega Oyetola for the looted items to be returned has started yielding positive results.
The state
government said some items looted from warehouses and other properties across the state have been returned.
The returned items included generator sets, refrigerators, motorcycles, grinding machines and foodstuff
The governor in a statement which was obtained by Irohinoodua , issued the ultimatum for the return of the looted items, noting that those who responded within the grace period would be granted amnesty.
He added that those who failed to return the stolen items would face the wrath of the law.
Oyetola, while inspecting the items that were returned at the Governor House, Osogbo on Tuesday, also urged those that are yet to return stolen items in their custody to comply with the directive before the expiration of the 72-hour ultimatum.
“I am happy that some of them decided to yield to the call of Amnesty time. They voluntarily returned those items that they stole. I gave them 72-hour and this is about 48-hour they still have 24 hours grace more”he said
He also said at the expiration of the ultimatum, there would be house to house search for the stolen items.
