The most honourable thing left for the Senate President, Bukola Saraki t is to resign, the Oodua Nationalist Coalition, (ONAC) said in a statement issued in Ilorin on Monday. The group said Saraki “must resign without any further delay.”
According to ONAC, the Pan-Yoruba group’s Kwara State Chairman, Mallam Suleiman Kadiri Adeyeye-Bello, “Dr. Saraki’s sins against the people is as white as snow, “what can make his bruised public image less red like a crimson is to resign.” The statement was made available to Irohinoodua on Monday afternoon.
He said “Saraki and his heritage have for long brutalized the people of Kwara State and Nigerians at large. The criminal cartel that he leads has been nurtured by the successive crooks that have largely ruled Nigeria since independence. Our people in Kwara think the emergence of General Mohammadu Buhari has opened the pent up anger of the people of Kwara which manifested in the stoning of the Senate President on Sallah day. “The people of Kwara did not see any difference between Saraki and the black stone in Mica. Since they are poor and could not go to Mica, they had to stone the Black stone of evil that they can see”, Adeyeye-Bello stated.
ONAC said Saraki sees Kwara state as an extension of his fiefdom and the people his captured slaves. “We in Kwara have been subjected to the most horrendous persecution under the Saraki family for the past half a decade. Our resources stolen at will and these same resources, he corners only to ask the same people he impoverished to line up for the crumbs every Friday. If Saraki were to be born in Saudi Arabia, which is the headquarters of all Muslims, he would have been put to life jail before his 30th birthday.”
ONAC stated “What has been his saving grace is that Nigeria has been tormented and raped by his gang. No one ever thought that the fetters of iron would one day be removed.
ONAC berated the Emir of Ilorin, for supporting Senator Saraki saying that they are birds of the same feather. The group said that while the Emir, for close to 200 years has been running a parasitic emirate that makes no economic contributions to the state, Saraki has been enjoying the loot sourced from the misery of the people for half a century.
The group urged Saraki to quit the stage and allow a more credible person to assume the leadership of the National Assembly.
