By Samuel Ogunsona and Aisha Abass

Armed Terrorists have shot dead the junior brother of Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Mr Omoyele Sowore. He is 49 year old Felix Olajide, a student of Pharmacy.

He was gunned down by armed terrorists in Edo State. Sowore is the glowing light in the resistance against the Nigerian authorities. He has been kept in jail and later restricted by the Federal Government in what is similar to a larger prison.

A security expert who does not wish to be named told Irohinoodua that “assasination cannot be ruled out.”
He said “This can be a case of assasination, target political killing” he said.

Sowore, a former President, University of Lagos Students Union is reputed for standing up to injustice from his younger days in the students movement.

His brother, Felix Olajide in his late 40s, is described by many who know him as a man of good conscience who is known for his support for human liberty

Sowore in a terse response expressed sadness over the gory incidence. In a statement he mad available to Irohinoodua, Sowore said
“My immediate younger brother, Olajide Sowore was today shot and killed near Okada in Edo state by reportedly herdsmen /kidnappers on his way from Igbinedion University in Edo sate where he is studying Pharmacy.”

He said “They snuffed out the life yet another real human being!
Rest In Power, “Dr. Mamiye!”

This act in itself will not delay their day of justice.

I traveled widely with you and our father as a little kid. You were the most loved robust kid I ever first knew. You, Mr. magnet had no enemy! You, Mr. Sunshine Foundation who made everyone happy.”

Sowore said further “You, the boy who snuck out his older ones to parties, taking all the blames when our disciplinarian father found out. You, the guy who was an out-of-the-box thinker who decided school wasn’t for you and created you own genre of music and then turned around to go to school after you almost turned 50! You lived your life so that everyone could be alright but now assassinated by everything that’s not alright!”
