Olu of Warri, Adeboye, Elumelu among 100 most reputable Africans 2025

The Olu of Warri, His Imperial Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse 111, is among most prominent and most significant personalities in 53 countries across Africa.

He was selected for his royalty, his strength of character, his commitment to meeting the aspirations of his people and his devotion to truth, royal discipline, timeless culture and heritage of his indigenous people.

The recognition was announced by Reputation Poll International (RPI), in collaboration with the Global Reputation Forum (GRF) in its annual list of the 100 most reputable Africans.

This year’s list features 17 Nigerians, including prominent figures such as the Olu of Warri, His Imperial Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and Tony Elumelu.

The annual announcement by RPI celebrates distinguished African leaders, innovators, and changemakers who have made exceptional contributions across diverse sectors, including business, governance, arts, education, and humanitarian.

In addition, the Olu of Warri, His Imperial Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, has been recognized for his efforts in building bridges of partnership across the globe and attracting development to the Warri Kingdom. Since his coronation in 2021, he has been a change-maker and a remarkable entrepreneur which has lifted up millions of people across Africa and the world, even beyond his domain, from their lowly status.

Other notable Nigerians on the list include National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Industry Trade & Investment Jumoke Oduwole, Apostle Jushua Selman, Senator Gbemisola Saraki, Prof. Benedict Oramah, Bala Wunti, Cosmas Maduka, Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, Paul Enenche, Kamil Olufowobi, Mayam Uwais, Wemimo Abbey, Osinachi Egbu, also known as Sinach, and Maryam Bukar Hassan.

According to the GRF, the honourees were chosen for their significant local and global influence, as well as their ability to create meaningful change. The selection process was based on a rigorous methodology that considered integrity, ethical leadership, and commitment to societal well-being.

One of the awardees, Bala Wunti, expressed his gratitude on social media, saying, “I am deeply honoured to be named among the 100 Most Reputable Africans 2025 by Reputation Poll International. This acknowledgement underscores the power of collaboration in shaping Africa’s future.

“Together, let’s continue driving positive impact across the continent.”

The recipients have taken to social media channels to acknowledge the award and celebrate the recognition.

The list also features a member of the House of Parliament and Opposition Leader of the Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, in the African Diaspora category.

The honourees were selected through a rigorous methodology based on integrity, ethical leadership, and commitment to societal well-being.

They were also chosen based on the impact of their contributions to transformative projects and initiatives, as well as recognition and influence within their respective fields.
