Obi invested nothing in Anambra, says Soludo

The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, (LP) Mr Peter Obi invested nothing in Anambra State while he was the Governor

The current Governor of Anambra State Prof Chukwuma Soludo made this assertion during a national interview

Soludo’s position faults claims and figures being peddled by Obi who claimed he had invested so much while he was the State governor for eight years.

Soludo who was the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria said he is in a position to know if Obi’s claim of massive investment in Anambra is true or false.

He spoke on Channels TV in an interview monitored by Irohinoodua during the programe tagged Politics Today. He said Obi’s claims of investment comes to nothing

“I dont know about the investment.Our interview is about the 2023 budget. I’m not talking about the investments of any of my predecessors. By the way the one that you talked about i don’t know about” Soludo said

He spoke further “I think there was something I read about investment. With what I’ve seen today, the value of those investment is worth next to northing.So let’s leave that aside”

“We ye handling out employment letters to more than 5000 teachers to end an era of schools without teachers We are going to have over 240 doctors and consultants to man our general hospitals, so if you look at the five fingers approach of our programmes we designed our budget to keep our eyes on the ball”
