Police invite skilled workers, artisans for recruitment, medical screening

The Nigeria Police recruitment board has invited specialist applicants for practical tests/medical screening into the Nigeria Police Force.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Head, Press and Police Public Relation Officer, Ikechukwu Ani, made available to Irohinodua.

The test, which has been slated to last for two weeks, begins Tuesday, April 16.

More so, both General duty applicants and the specialists applicants screening/medical test will run concurrently.

The skilled workers applicants will be tested in various areas which includes Carpentry, Driving, Electronics, Communication, Masonry and Marine technology.

Other field includes Mechanics, Medical assistants, painting, plumbing, tiling, printing, welding and veterinary assistants.

However, The tests have been slated to hold at twenty locations which are the 17 Zonal Command Headquarters and Kaduna, Yobe and Zamfara state Command Headquarters.

Specialist applicants from these states are to do their practical tests in their respective states of origin.

The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Dr. Solomon Arase, CFR, retired Inspector General of Police said the Nigeria Police Force is returning to it glorious days where you can get the best skilled workers in the service.

“Commission is desirous of returning the Nigeria Police Force to its glorious past when its specialists were the best you can get anywhere and when the Force handled most of its ancillary services by itself.

“Police Force then had seasoned mechanics that handled repairs of its vehicles, Masons that built Police barracks, engineers who were into road construction and tailors who sewed Police uniforms” He said.

Dr. Arase in his statement also noted that the practical tests for the Specialist applicants will be meticulously handled to ensure that the best hands are selected.

Dr. Arose who further commended the Recruitment Board for their industry and commitment to this noble national assignment added that their selfless Service will not go unnoticed.
