By Kunle Adio, New York

A pro-One Nigeria rally is being planned to hold at the United Nations, (UN) headquarters in New York this week, Irohinoodua learnt on Monday. A network has been set up with promises to offer $50 ( about N25,000) per day to any one that takes part in the rally slated for September 22 and 24 this month.

The organizers want participants to register at the Nigerian House, located on 828,2nd Avenue, New York, 10017. The rally is tagged One Nigeria Peace Rally. Participants have been promised “Light Refreshment and Music On Deck.” Nigerians wishing to attend the rally have been asked to call 6463847126 or 9174509117

Sources in New York told our correspondent that the rally is linked to the Nigerian mission in New York said to have made contact with a lot of Nigerians to counter the on-going self determination protests at the UN Headquarters for ethnic self determination. The source said participants will be provided with T-shirts and souvenirs proclaiming one Nigeria with offensive remarks on those calling for self determination.

Some self determination groups have embarked on protests at the UN Headquarters drawing global attention to the clamour by ethnic groups for self determination. The protest which continues to draw global attention has many Pan Yoruba and Igbo groups attending the event.
