The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, has announced a second confirmed case of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
It was gather that the victim had contact with the Italian that brought coronavirus to Nigeria.
The victim was said to be one of those under isolation. The latest discovery has raised concern among Nigerians anxious to know the real status of the country amidst reports that two other West African countries, Togo and Cameroon recorded their first cases at the weekend.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed this in a tweet on Monday.
Corona virus has continued to spread across the world with China, Italy and Iran being the worst hit. The development has compelled Italy to close all schools until April 3 while no fewer than 16 million Italians have been quarantined. About 100,000 people are now infected worldwide while more than 100 deaths have been recorded in about 10 countries. Critics insist Nigeria is not doing enough in a country traditionally ruled by myths and superstition.
