Newsbreak:Tinubu names Abuja major road after Chinua Achebe

Days after naming a major road in Abuja after literary giant, Prof Wole Soyinka, the Nigerian central authority has today announced renaming another Abuja highway after Prof. Chinua Achebe.
Tinubu’s naming of a highway after Soyinka had seen a deluge of criticisms from a section of the political spectrum after the honour given to Soyinka who is the literary soul-mate of Achebe. But many Nigerians had hailed the honour given to Soyinka given his sacrifices for freedom and an egalitarian society from his early age if 20. Soyinka will be 90 on July 13 this year
On Saturday President Bola Tinubu approved the naming of the M18 road infrastructure in Guzape District, Abuja after renowned novelist, Achebe.
Tinubu spoke when giving his address at the inauguration of the road in Abuja on Saturday, June 8.
Tinubu was the gesture was to recognise the contributions of Achebe to Nigeria in the realm of literature and academic growth
Chinua Achebe was born Albert Chinụalụmọgụ Achebe on November 1930.
Four years earlier that Soyinka who was born in 1934.
He was a Nigerian novelist, poet, and critic who stood tall in African literary works. He wrote so many novels that continue to shape the world.
