President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Chief Securiy Officer, (COS) has been replaced.
The Department of State Service (DSS) at the weekend withdrew Adegboyega Fasasi who has been the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the President since last year.
A new officer, Rasheed Atanda Lawal who is a Deputy Director, has was named on Sunday to replace Fasasi. The new Chief Security Officer, (CSO) is said to be an officer with vast experience and training in and outside Nigeria on security matters.
Fasasi was appointed last year to serve as the CSO to the President.
Fasasi, sources told Irohinoodua has been redeployed for further training
The Director-General of the DSS, Tosin Ajayi was said to have made the request to the President for Fasasi’s replacement.
Sources told Irohinoodua that the redeployment is part of the reorganisation being embarked upon by the DSS.
“There may be further changes in personnel. The whole idea is to ensure a more efficient organisation that would ensure diverse exposure of officers to a variety of experiences and training in all fields,’ the source said.
