President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the names of 42 persons as Chairpersons of Boards and critical parastatals.
He announced the appointments on Friday in a statment signed by his media aide, Bayo Onanuga made available to Irohinoodua.
The 42 persons will lead Federal organizations while a secretary was appointed to the board of the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services.
The appointments cover a range of sectors, including aviation, education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
According the President, the appointments were aimed at strengthening governance and management of the listed organizations.
The appointees are as follows:
- Hon. Hillard Eta – Chairman, National Youth Service Corps
- Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi – Chairman, Nigerian Institute of International Affairs
- H. E. Abdullahi U. Ganduje – Chairman, Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria
- Sen. Surajudeen Bashiru Ajibola – Chairman, National Sugar Development Council
- H. E. Sulaiman Argungu – Chairman, Nigeria Bulk Electricity Trading Company
- Sen. Magnus Abe – Chairman, National Agency for Great Green Wall
- Barr. Festus Fuanter – Chairman, National Teachers Institute
- Raji, Kazeem Kolawole – Director-General, National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI)
- Chief Victor Tombari Giadom – Chairman, Nigerian Institute of Educational Planning and Administration

President Tinubu directed the board chairpersons not to interfere with the management of the organizations, emphasizing that their positions are non-executive. All appointments take immediate effect.
