Newsbreak: Seven PDP State Governors withdraw suit against Tinubu declaration as President Elect

The suit instituted by Seven Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, State Governors against the President elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu challenging his declaration has been withdrawn.

Seven State Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP had instituted the suit at the Supreme Court seeking the nullification of the declaration of Tinubu as Nigeria’s President elect.

But on Friday, the lawyer of the seven PDP states, Mr. Mike Ozekhome SAN  said “Take notice that the plaintiffs doth hereby wholly discontinue this suit against the defendant herein”.

Sources told Irohinoodua that the discontinuation was effected after constructive engagement of some elder statesmen across thee country including at least two traditional rulers and two former Heads of State. Our source said the decision to withdraw the suit was part of the efforts aimed at reconciling the country.
