Newsbreak: NLC suspends strike

The Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC has suspended the nation-wide strike
Irohinoodua correspondent was informed that the central labour union took the decision after the intervention of the National Security Adviser, Mr Nuru Ribadu.
The NSA was believed to have been delegated by the Federal Government
The National Executive Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress on Wednesday night both agrees to suspend the strike that was only gaining momentum on Wednesday
The National Deputy Vice-President of the TUC, Tommy Etim, said, “The NEC of the NLC and the TUC have suspended the strike. We did this based on our trust for the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, who gave us his words,”
The NLC led by Comrade Joe Ajaero had earlier suspended a nation wide strike in October over worsening economic situation in Nigeria.
Ribadu was said to have worked on his past relationship with the central labour union especially its current leadership in persuading the leadership to suspend the strike to allow the government address their grievances
