NewsBreak: Man arrested with 2,861 ATM cards

By Sadiku Ajibola

A middle aged man was today arrested by Customs Operatives at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, MMA.

The man was in possession of 2,861 ATM cards bearing different names. The ATM cards were issued in the names of different banks.

Sources told Irohinoodua that the suspect had loaded packs of Indomie in a box with the hope of deluding the security operatives.

Customs officials were said to have opened up the packs of Indomie leading the security operatives to discover the ATM cards neatly stuck in packs of hundreds.

The customs operatives later handed over the suspect to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC)

The Lagos Zonal Head, Economic and Financial Crime Commission, (EFCC) Abdulrahsheed Bawa said the commission is already working on the theory of foreign exchange crimes that may involved the collaboration of bank staffers.

He said the suspect will soon appear in court.
