Iran has fired over 250 missiles at Israel, the Jewish state.

Iran has fired over 250 missiles at Israel, the Jewish state. As at press time, Irohinoodua could not ascertain if there were casualties.

In a swift response, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) asked Israelis to “remain alert and precisely follow the home front command’s instructions”.The United States, had said on Tuesday that it suspected Iran would launch attacks on Israel in hours. The IDF said it intercepted several of the ballistic missiles and that there was no damage to the competence of the Israeli Airforce. The United States also took part in protecting Israel from harm coming from the missiles

The IDF said amidst the missile attacks “Upon hearing a siren, you must enter a protected space and remain there until further notice.”Iran and Israel have been shadow-boxing over attacks on Hizbollah, the militant group that has been fighting with Israel for days. Israel has consistently pounded Hizbollah cells in Beirut leading to hundreds of deaths.

The IDF says that it killed the commander of the Imam Hossein Division, an Iranian militia which operates alongside Hezbollah, in the same strike that killed the commander of Hezbollah’s Unit 4400 in Beirut, according to Times of Israel

Experts warn that the recent Iran attack is bound to draw reprisal from Israel, a development that may spur regional conflict. In April this year, Iran attacked Israel over the killing of a top member of the Iranian Republican Guard in Damascus.
