Newsbreak: Explosion rocks Abuja Islamic school

An explosion has rocked a school in Abuja.
Irohinoodua could not immediately confirm if the incidence was a bomb
Witnesses told our correspondent that the explosion led to the death of a student while no fewer than four others were wounded.
The chairman of Bwari Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), John Gabaya confirmed the explosion in a chat with news men.
He said the incidence took place at Islamiyyah school, Kuchibiyu community in the council.

Gabaya said he had earlier expressed concerns about the school.
He said he had informed the local police about the suspicious activities in the school
He said the area has been thrown into pandemonium following the explosion.
Gabaya said.“Yes, there was an explosion in an Islamiyyah school today, one of the students was killed with four others injured.
“I don’t know the owner of the school but he brought in some children from Katsina state to the place in Kuchibiyu, I have reported his activities to the Divisional Police officer for investigation”
Sources told Irohinoodua that bomb squad of the Nigerian police and officials of Directorate of Military Intelligence, (DMI) have been drafted into the scene while investigation has commenced.
