Newsbreak: Bomb explosion at APC Rivers Secretariat

A bomb explosion has rocked the secretariat of All Progressives Congress, (APC) Port Harcourt, in Rivers State.
Irohinoodua was informed that the explosion took place on Saturday morning amidst the controversy over whether the Local Government election should hold or not.
“Property this morning were destroyed. We had a loud bang. It shattered the peace of the entire area,” Chike Ebulo a resident in the area told Irohinoodua on Saturday.
The secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) is located along Aba Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital.
What was suspected to be a bomb brought down the gate, windows and doors of the APC secretariat.
The APC in Rivers is led by Chief Tony Okocha.
This is the second time the APC secretariat in Rivers State would be bombed.
-led APC would be experiencing such an attack at its secretariat this year.
Ahead of the disputed Local Government Election, the State Independent Electoral Commission said on Friday that all needed logistics have been provided at each of the Local Council.
But the police insist that the election would not hold.
Addressing journalists on Friday, the State Governor, Fubara said the election would be held. A High Court in Abuja earlier ruled that the election should not be held.
