Two men have been killed at Ikole, a city located on the Northern fringe of Ekiti State.

The two men were killed on their farm on Saturday morning, one of them with the nickname Jisoro was said to be a very popular youth icon in the community.

Irohinoodua correspondent in Ekiti reports that the two men were brutally murdered by some Fulani armed men

‘They were killed without any provocation. The armed Fulani have been a pain in the neck of our people. They go about with long daggers and knives. Human lives mean nothing to them” Ayo Babalola a native of Isaba told Irohinoodua.

Our correspondent observed locals, mostly women and children march on Ikole streets singing solidarity songs and cursing the murderers.
Sources said the bodies have been taken away by members of Amotekun corps.

An aide of the State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi said the governor is saddened by the incidence and has ordered full investigation to bring the killers to book

‘The Governor is very sad about this development. He will visit the families of the dead. He has asked the police and Amotekun and all security operatives to fish out the killers” the aide who does not wish to be names told our correspondent on Saturday.
