The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC is set to announce the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the next Governor of Nigeria’s economic hub.
The APC candidate is leading with a wide margin trailed by the Labour Party,LP candidate
From results announced by the Resident INEC Commissioner in Lagos, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Babajide Sanwo-Olu has already recorded over 442,690 votes ahead of his runner up.
The Lagos Governor Sanwo Olu scored 736, 128
The Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour candidate received
296,832 Democratic
Third in the race is the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Mr Abdul-Azeez Adediran.
Although, INEC is yet to make the announcement, indications are that he may be declared later on Sunday.
INEC has already announced results in most of the 20 Local Governments in Lagos State.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP won with a total of 63,849 votes
INEC is still awaiting results from Lekki where election was shifted from Saturday to Sunday.
The number of votes being expected from Lekki is not enough to alter the Sanwo Olu lead.
