Mohammed Fawehinmi died of COVID 19, family reveals

The first son of late radical lawyer, Chief Gani Fawehinmi died of COVID-19, his family said today.
Mohammed died after a brief illness amidst assumptions that he died of heart related problems. Mohammed read Business Administration and later had a degree in Law. He died on August 11, 2021, aged 52.
But his junior brother Saheed said in Lagos today that Mohammed died of COVID-19.
Mohammed had been on wheelchair after sustaining injuries from an accident along Airport road in Ikeja, Lagos around 1993. He was taken to several countries by a loving father to bring back a broken spinal cord without success.
Saheed speaking to journalists today said Mohammed died of complications from COVID-19.
Saheed said “The family could not immediately disclose the cause of our brother’s death because we wanted the information to be based on factual medical details, especially, as may be contained in the death certificate.
Mohammed’s corpse it was believed was investigated by doctors who discovered the cause of death following autopsy.
“Today, however, we are in a position to inform you that our dear brother died from COVID-19 related complications, ” a grieving Saheed said
Mohammed who is from Ondo town will be buried on August 27, 2021.
