Miyyetti Allah Says 21 Herdsmen Dead or Misssing In Anambra State

No fewer than 21 Fulani herdmens have been missing in Anambra state since January.
The Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, (MACBAN) Alhaji Gidado Siddiki spoke at a press briefing in Akwa, Anambra State C
capital.
He said a fresh attack took place at their settlement in Ogborji, In the Orumba South Local Government on Saturday which led to the killings of four herdsmen
He said hundreds of cows were missing.
He listed the four victims as Hadari Umaru, Hamidu Umaru, Aliu Idris and Hassan Idris.
MACBAN boss said the murder of
the four herders made it a total number of 21 of MACBAN members killed in the state between January and early March 2021
He said Police has recovered one of the corpse and three others are still missing.
“Two herders were killed similarly in Ishiagu, Ivo LGA in Ebonyi State and until the recent attack, Members of Miyyetti Allah Association had enjoyed cordial relationship with their host communities in the State” he added.
He said,the
Fulanis’ are not violent in the South-East and are not there to undermine the business of other people in the community.
Alhaji Gidado called on the Anambra state government and the traditional rulers to take action to stop further killings and attacks of the Fulani Herdsmen.
The public relation officer of the state police, Haruna Mohammed said the police authority has ordered an intensive probe to the MACBAN claim
