The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), has revealed that the church will not open their worship centres across the country on 21th of June.
The church said though the Federal and State Governments have given religious centers June 21 to resume, it would continue to transmit its services live on television and will not open for physical service for now.
The General Overseer Dr Daniel Olukoya has put into consideration the church’s crowded services, prayer and deliverance nature, vibrancy and the peculiarity of its worship mode which can make the Corona virus spread easily.
Pastor Olukoya said he considered the safety implications of opening the church now and decided to put the health and safety of members first before anything.
Many Human Right groups had hailed the decision of the church to still remain close despite the directive fromState and Federal Governments this they said means the church is sensitive to the health concerns of their member and called on other churches to emulate this good gesture
The MFM’s headquarters located at Onike, Yaba in Lagos, receives no fewer than 15,000 in any of its service
The church hence called on his members to continue to fellowship through the media platforms already provided.
The ministry reminded members that services have not resumed yet, saying adequate notice will be given before the services resume.
Pastor Bank-Olemoh added, “The General Overseer, Dr Odukoya considered the safety implication of reopening the service in view of its crowded services, prayer and deliverance nature; vibrancy and the peculiarity of her worship modes.”
