The man had 117 parcels of cocaine concealed in extra-large latex condoms factory packed inside bottles of 100ml body spray.

Following his arrest at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Rivers State, on Friday, he said he was in Nigeria to trace his father given his name as Omini

The NDLEA’s Chief Image maker, Femi Babafemi, in a statement on Sunday made available to Irohinoodua said the suspect claimed he lef Suriname, a country in the North Eastern coast of South America on 2nd April for Sao Paulo, Brazil.

It was from Brazil that he proceeded to Sao Paulo and later to Nigeria on Friday.

He came in through Qatar Airways flight.

He said he was in search of his long-lost Nigerian father whom he called “Omini.” The NDLEA are investigating his local links.

An official of NDLEA who does not wish to be names said he found it difficult to believe the story of the young man

“How can you be looking for your father and in your journey you are loaded with drugs. He should have some contacts in Nigeria before coming to this country,” he said
