Kogi LG intercept, return truckload of Fulani herdsmen

The Executive Chairman of Yagba West in collaboration with security agencies have returned a truckload of Fulani men that came to settle in Okunran, a community in the remote local council.
The Local Government Chairman, Pius Kolawole was assisted by the Divisional Police Officer, (DPO) of Odo-Ere, also in Kogi State.
A statement signed by the media assistance to the LG Chairman Eniola Olayemi and made available to Irohinoodua said the LG authorities returned over 100 Fulani in a truck moving to Okunran Illegally to settle without a clear mission.
He said t Kolawole who has taken security issue serious since he assume office as been on Security issues since morning with series of meetings as regards the invasion of Fulani in Yagba West at the later hours of Saturday intercept and escorted a trailer loaded with Fulani out of the Local Government with the support of Security Agencies.
He said the Fulani were handed over to the DPO of Eruku for them to be further escorted out of their community .
The aide said Kolawole is not ready and will never compromise the security of his people.
He said “Yagba West under his leadership is determined to ensure Security of life and property is actualize to the fullest.”
State officials who assisted in the repatriation were the Commissioner of Pension Commission Hon Solomon Adebayo(Akeweje), Hon Tunji Aro( Egwe), COS Hon Tosin Rowland, Supervising Councilor Agriculture and Natural Resources Hon Kayode Abolaji, Supervising Councilor Health Hon Abiodun Ayara, DSO and DSS official were all on ground to ensure the safety of Yagba West LGA.
