Hunters in Yorubaland, Isanlu in particular were seen taking the traditional oath of allegience to committ themselves to defending their communities from armed robbers and kidnappers

The oath of allegiance using Ogun, the god of Iron. This is an ancient oath taking ritual dating back to 2000 years. It has proven to be effective. Here traditional hunters are asked to line up and take their oath one after the other. Each hunter is mandated to scale loaded guns and then take the oath of allegiance to the community and the society, promising never to betray or collaborate with enemy forces.
