Kidnappers return, seize passengers On Ikirun-Osogbo highway

Armed kidnappers appear to have returned again after the innitial weeks of lull.

They struck on Friday in Osun State. At least four people were kidnapped by armed men suspected to be herdsmen

Eyewitnesses told Irohinoodua that some four people including the driver were kidnapped in the evening of Friday on the Ikirun-Osogbo highway.

The gun men blocked the highway, blocked a Mazda car on Ikirun Osogbo expressway.

The kidnappers, about six of them were armed with AK 47,close sources said.

The victims were coming from Iragbiji, the hometown of the former Governor, Gboyega Oyetola

The Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incidence.

The police said the vehicle has been towed and that efforts were on to nab the kidnappers
