Kidnapped 25 CAC Church members: Amotekun, Police rescue Eight

Eight out of twenty five members of Christ Apostolic Church, CAC kidnapped in Ondo State have been rescued.

Local sources told Irohinoodua that the Eight CAC members were rescued by a combination of Amotekun, Vigilante and Police in Ondo State.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami said Eight of the kidnapped have been rescued while efforts have been intensified to rescue the remaining 17.

On Friday, 25 CAC Oke Igan, Akure members were seized by gun men in an evening ambush.

The armed men ambushed the bush on Akure-Benin highway while on their way to Ifon in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The CAC members were on their way to a burial event when armed men accosted them and filed the men and women into the bush as night fell.
