International Airport in Ebonyi named after President Buhari

In the heart of Igboland, Ebonyi State, the only Airport has been named after President Mohammadu Buhari

The State Government on Wednesday made the announcement while adding the Ebonyi State has received the blessing of the Federal Government to commence operations at the International Aiport located at Onueke.

The Governor of Ebonyi State David Umahi is said to have a special relationship with President Buhari dating back to decades.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Aviation and Technology, Mrs. Obianuju Alo said “We are going to have two flights landing at the airport, one from Abuja and another from Lagos.

She said after the two flights, Ebonyi will the proceed to two flights every week with Lagos and Abuja as the main sources.

“We want to encourage all Ebonyians and investors to come to Ebonyi and do their business. Ebonyi will now start exporting agricultural products to the entire world,” she told journalists

According to her “International airlines will soon be coming to Ebonyi state, and when they come, they will employ the people of the state and the local community will benefit so much from it,” she stated.
