The Menace of Insecurity in Nigeria has becoming alarming, forcing regions in the country to set up Security outfits for the protection of lives and properties of their people in their regions.
In this vein, First Lady of the nation, Aisha Buhari has warned that if the insecurity challenges the nation is facing is not looked into earnestly, the nation may plung into anarchy and worst security challenge.
Irohin Odua gathered that Aisha Buhari made this statements ay an international conference on state and security held at the Nigeria Defence Academy, NDA, Kaduna State.
She also called for synergy among security agencies in the country, urging them to re-strategize and re-examine the security structure with a view to stem the rising cases of terrorism in Nigeria.
She however urged the government to look into the welfare of security personnel for productivity.
“Security in Nigeria remains the biggest challenge, it is high time to explore new strategies and approaches.
“If care is not taken, we will be expecting the worse of the security problems we are facing in Nigeria,” our source quoted her as saying.
She appealed to Nigerians to remain vigilant and provide relevant information to security agencies to avert any potential threat.
“All criminals are members of our society and they live in our midst, parents have the responsibility of ensuring that we take exceptional interest in the development of our children”, Aisha said.
