Imported Armed drones linked to Kaduna State

Armed Drones discovered at the Murtala International Airport are linked some powerful interests in Kaduna State, sources told Irohinoodua on Wednesday
Military authorities are still in shock following the discovery of armed drones imported into Nigeria by some individuals
The importer was arrested but later released following pressure from influential political figures.
The source said the Airport Security Commander was asked to release the suspect after he was briefly detained.
There was confusion at thr Airport on late January when the Directorate of Military Intelligence, (DMI) officials arrested a man who had imported armed drones into the country.
Commander of NADC, Air commodore U.K Abdullah, Irohinoodua heard was asked to release the suspect immediately.
“We got a signal that he should be released. The presure was so strong that we had no option but to release him. The importer claimed he works for Kaduna State Government” a source at the Airport told Irohinoodua on Wednesday
The source claimed that the drone has the capacity of surveillance and attack systems.
“Its a combat drone. We do not know why such an Item was imported into the country by private individuals”, the source stated.
